Spring road weight limits in Washington County lifted on Tuesday. The mobilization that was waiting on them is set for Monday. The excavator comes in, the temporary access road goes in along the south edge of the property, and erosion control fencing follows the contour the engineer flagged on the grading plan.

The lot has been quiet for the better part of three weeks. The trees are out. The path the driveway will take is staked. The septic location has been confirmed by the soils report. Everything that needed to be settled before dirt moves is settled.

We met on the lot Wednesday afternoon to walk the access route one more time. The drone shows what the lot looks like at the start: wooded perimeter, with the building pad marked out where the home will go. By next week’s entry the geometry will already be different.
